Dipping your brush into a palette full of color is exciting! It can also be a chore trying to choose a shade, matte or shimmery to match your style, outfit and mood. But have you ever thought of which shade of eyeshadow goes best with your eye color?

Eyeshadows for Brown Eyes:

Deep Purples - Shades like plum or eggplant add a bit of drama to brown eyes. For those with warm mahogany tones or flecks of golden, it is complemented by deep purple shades and will give your eyes a beautiful and warm glow.

Browns - Brown eyeshadows colors will naturally accentuate the brown in your eyes. Lighter, cool browns can be used as a highlighter, while medium to rich browns will emphasize more depth.

Amber, About 5% of people around the world have this rare eye color. Amber is a golden yellow or coppery color without specks of gold, green, or brown. People of Asian, Spanish, South American, and South African descent are most likely to have amber eyes.

 Green, An estimated 2%of the world’s population have green eyes, making them very rare overall. However, green eyes are very common in some parts of the world, including Ireland and Scotland. Green eyes are most common in Northern, Central, and Western Europe. About 16 percent of people with green eyes are of Celtic and Germanic ancestry.

Gray, Close to 3% of the world’s population have gray eyes. People with gray eyes have little or no melanin in their irises, but they have more collagen in a part of the eye called the stroma. The light scatters off the collagen in a way that makes the eyes appear gray.

Red or Violet, Less than 1% of the world’s population actually have red or violet eyes. A person can appear to have violet eyes when they lack pigmentation in their eyes, and light reflects off their blood vessels. People with albinism or ocular albinism usually have little or no melanin in the iris.

Heterochromia, Affects less than 1% of the world population. This term refers to people who have eyes of two different colors. Some people have two colors within both eyes, and others have a different color for each eye.
